Blog Assignment #1
Have you ever taken the time to look at the media you consume through out the day? If not that’s ok today was the first day that I really sat down to journal at what and how I consume media.
6:20 AM – Wake up to my 1 year old Yorkie licking my face quickly check my phone to find a several What’s App Messages for a #Brand30 course I am taking, a few LinkedIn notifications and couple of work teams. Check my work calendar to see when my first meeting is and set my phone down can’t start scrolling until I walk my dog!
7:00 AM – Log on to my work computer and Audible, listen to another Chapter in Cold Calling Suck’s | Thats why it works while checking my LinkedIn Notifications. Red through a blog post from Celeste Berke Kinsley on The Brutal Truth About Why Your Team Is Missing Quota in 2024 followed by another Blog from Sales Questions and Answers on How to Develop YOUR Sales Superpower!!!
8:15 AM – Return from dropping my daughter of at school. Log into Skool and complete my daily #Brand30 https://www.brand30.io/ course. A course for building your founder brand on LinkedIn from Andy Mewborn. Late for my work day spin up a quick LinkedIn post so that I can stay consistent with my 30 days of posting. Close down LinkedIn and get to checking Teams and Emails.
10:00 AM – Interact with ChatGPT4 to research companies to help build strategy for my team and help me building calculations to reverse engineer the total impact that Sales Development Rep Churn has on Pipeline and Revenue build.
12:00 PM – Walk through some tailored training on how to use LinkedIn Navigator with a Member of my Team. Check my LinkedIn Messages and Whats App.
4:00 PM – Exhausted from work lay on the couch and start scrolling Instagram. Scroll past several posts from my daughters school. A few posts from sleuthgangordie surrounding “Justice for Sonya Massey” – these posts are often political and polarized. Find myself mesmerized by a eatinghealthytoday video on Ice Cream Sandwiches and fall asleep.
6:00 PM – Revisit Whats App and start Liking and Commenting on Posts from my #Brand30 Boost Group.
8:00 PM – Google Election Polls and scan through recent from the Wall Street Journal and Reuters surrounding Harris leading Trump in the polls
In summary – looking at the content I consume throughout the day the most questionable content is the information that I consume is from instagram. However the majority of the content that I consume is related to my professional life. Over the years given the polarized nature of a lot of content I have limited my media consumption. Given that my main platform for media consumption is LinkedIn, I believe that folks are more inclined to fact check the information that they are sharing given the overall intent of the platform it’s self.
